My mind disconnects when stars are revealed at night

And millions and millions of planets, so distant and bright

And for us to be told we’re alone in the universe is a lie

There must be another species, that’s something we can’t deny

But some of us, with curiosity filling our minds

Investigates these stars, these planets

Hoping to find something hidden, something new for mankind

But some even fear, that which lies hidden is our end

But I do not know what to believe

They could bring peace, or tragedy

Though, from what we’ve seen, they are their own worst enemy

From these self-proclaimed “human beings”
Yeah... I'm sure this could be... Incorrect, so... Yeah....
This is for :icondaylighteneddark:

Though not sure if I did it right, hope you liked it.
So, tell me what you think?

Ahh, I'm so sorry for the late comment on this! I haven't been able to comment on this until now.
Anyway, I loved this!! This poem filled me with wonder and awe! All of those stars and planets out there, and maybe other life as well! It's all very mysterious yet wonderful at the same time. Your poem really illustrated this image in my head. I really like how you portray fear of the unknown out there, yet questions about what we don't know. Really beautiful poem. It's really thought-provoking. :D

Thank you so much for writing this! It's not incorrect at all - in fact, I really like how you wrote about the stars and planets! For a prompt, I simply said "the stars in the sky," so you could have went any way you wanted with it! To me, there is no "right way" to write about something when you're coming up with it yourself. But I really did like this. Very much. Thank you again. :)

I like this!  Makes me think of the nights when I gaze up and ask, "Is there someone else out there?".

A lot of people wonder that.
All I say is, if there is life out there I really hope they are friendly!
